Republican rejoicing over winning the Massachusetts Senate seat is based on the belief that this was a rejection of health reform. But this requires a second look.
It took eight years for President Clinton and his administration to take our country to the pinnacle of prosperity with good employment and family security. It took President George W. Bush and his administration eight years to lead our country to the opposite end of the spectrum.
What did Scott Brown do for the United States? He just administered a stunning defeat to the Kennedy liberals in Massachusetts with health care as the core issue. Forget any other spin you hear, that is what just happened. That Mr. Brown did not stress the Republican Party or use the term ”Tea Party” does not matter. His issues were right off of the Tea Party’s posters and out of the official GOP platform, but he was more of an independent conservative than either a Republican or a Tea Party advocate.

People who don’t have the money to heat their homes or even people who are working but haven’t had a raise or cost-of-living increase. Some people have to work two jobs to support their families.

It was pretty funny in the late 1960s when Los Angeles lawyer Harold Fine, as played by Peter Sellers, decided to drop out and become a hippie after getting zonked on a lovely young woman’s ”groovy” brownies.
P ennsylvanians got a raw deal last week when Cigars International showed off its new $10 million distribution center in Bethlehem.
